Chassis Group

The chassis group is responsible for the design and construction of the frame of the car, the pedals, the shifter, and the firewall.

Composites Group

The composites group is responsible for the design and build of all molds and body shells. The composites group works with fiberglass, aluminum, kevlar, and carbon fiber.

Suspension Group

The suspension group is responsible for the design and build the car's suspension system. Suspension design begins with setting up desirable vehicle dynamics upon which the car will be based. The functional areas of the suspension design include:

  • Double a-arm, non-parallel, unequal length
  • Push rods
  • CNC aluminum uprights
  • Design 4-wheel disc brake
  • Wheel Assembly
  • Steering
  • Spring and Damper System
There is a lot of design, FEA analysis, and machining involved with this group.

Powertrain/Driveline Group

The powertrain group is responsible for the design and build of the car's powertrain system. This includes the following areas: the induction system (manifold, plenum, restrictor, and throttle body), the fuel management (fuel injection incorporation and tuning), exhaust system design, dyno testing, internal engine optimization, cooling system, and driveline.

Electrical Group

The electrical groups is responsible for the design and build of all automotive electronics. This includes the dash, the power distribution, the shift controller, pneumatic shifting, data acquisition, and the development of new technologies (including traction control and DAQ).

Management Group

The management group is responsible for cost reports, marketing presentations, public relations, speakers, and sponsorships
