The Cellular Engineering Laboratories are part of the Bioengineering Department at the University of Toledo. Biomedical engineering research in these laboratories include tissue engineering, optical imaging, and cancer detection and diagnosis. Bioengineering research projects include enzyme immobilization, fermentation, genetic engineering, and cellulosic bioethanol production.
