Danyu Wu is a Ph.D. Student in Manufacturing Engineering since August 1999 at the University of Toledo, MIME Department. She received her M. Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. For her Master thesis she studied Magnetic Abrasive Machining for inner surface of stainless steel tubing.

After graduation in March 1998, she worked as a Product Development Engineer in the Technical Center of United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. (UAES) in Shanghai, P. R. China.

In August 1999 she joined the MIME Department working as a Research Assistant. She is conducting research for the project "High Efficiency Belt Centerless Grinding of Alumina and Hardened Tool Steel". She is also studying in the field of  Magneto Abrasive Polishing of Stainless Steel Tubes.
