Madalina Pavel is a M.Sc. Student in Manufacturing Engineering at The University of Toledo, MIME Department since August 2001 . She received her M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, from POLYTECHNICAL University of Bucharest back in 1991. 

After her 1991 graduation, she worked for five years as Mechanical Engineer at the Technical Service of the Department of Cewmenting Units and Hydraulic Control at the SC. UPETROM S.A. .  Between 1996 and 2001 she was hired as Mechanical Engineer at SC. Mecanica Fina S.A. in Buchares, Romania.   Her responsabilities included:   designing of fine punch moulds, injection moulds, designing and verifying devices and tools, designing technologies, materials consumption and rate-setting for Tools Room  (injection moulds, fine punch moulds, vulcanization moulds etc.), determining the required repairing for the damaged moulds, and creating new mobility program into "Leonardo da Vinci Program" as an European Community Program. The subject of the program is "Training of graduates in the field of plastics; designing of plastic injection moulds".

In August 2001 she joined the MIME Department working as a Research Assistant.  She is involved in a project studying different aspects of surface grinding.
