GABRIEL  D O N T U

Gabriel Dontu graduated with a Ph.D. Degree in Engineering from The University of Toledo, MIME Department in July 2000.  He received  his M.Sc.  Degree  in Manufacturing and Machining Technologies in June 1986 and his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in June 1985,  from the Technical University of Iasi, Romania. 

He worked as an Assistant Professor with Plastical Processing and Heat Treatments Department of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering from The Technical University "Gh. Asachi" of Iasi, Romania.

In 1997 he joined the Precision  Micro-Machining Center as an Associate Researcher.  He performed research in stone/workpiece contact in superfinishing of ball bearing rings.

During his Graduate Program he was awarded with "The Outstanding Graduate Student Award" from the MIME Department for the year of 2000.
