A. Course Description: Advanced
studies of steel, wood, concrete, and masonry structural design, examination of
temporary construction structures and problems, demolition of structures.
B. Related Program Outcomes:

understanding the mechanics of structural design.

development of mathematical skills sufficient to solve and analyze technical
problems associated with construction projects including building, highway and
heavy construction.

ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of common construction methods and
