  1. 04/16/2012: Undergraduate students Ms. Jennifer Hendrix, Mr. Steven Young, and Mr. Joseph Livecchi have been selected for summer internship in UT-Nanolabs. Congratulations!
  2. 04/16/2012: UT-NanoLabs recruits Ms. Erica Lee from Toledo Early College and Ms. Madison Scott from St. Ursula Academy for summer internship in the areas of Nanotechnology. The selections were based on competitive evaluation of the application package. The students will work on cutting-edge research activities related to PI's NSF funded project. Congratulations!
  3. 02/25/2012: UT-NanoLabs lab students organized workshop and demonstrations in UT Experience Day.
  4. 02/22/2012: Branden Long organized NanoLab tour and demonstrations on "Engineer for a Day" event. The event was hosted on February 22, 2012 by College of Engineering. We had approximately 160 high school students participate from 23 area high schools.
  5. 02/11/2012: UT-NanoLabs students organized workshop and demonstrations in UT Experience Day.
  6. 09/20/2011: Branden Long attends Governor's Energy Summit Conference at Columbus Ohio.
  7. 08/31/2011: Dr. Supratik Guha from IBM Research presented a talk on research activities in the areas of Photovoltaics.
  8. 08/10/2011: Our group welcomes the new students Joseph Livecchi, Saptarshi Mandal, and Ammaarah El-Amin in this Fall.
  9. 08/09/2011: Dr. Rashmi Jha receives NSF BRIGE award to perform research and outreach activities in the areas of memristive devices.
  10. 08/07/2011: Our manuscript titled "Understanding the Charge Transport Mechanism in VRS and BRS States of Transition Metal Oxide Nanoelectronic Memristor Devices",Branden Long et. al., has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices.
  11. 07/21/2011: A workshop for Latino Youth Summit of Ohio (LYSO) was arranged by our group in the areas of Energy Harvesting Devices. This work was performed in collaboration with Dr. Mark Pickett.
  12. 07/15/2011: One-day summer workshop was arranged for high school students in collaboration with the College of Engineering. The focus of the workshop was to introduce students to the "Nanotechnology" for future electronic device applications. The students were involved in exciting hand-on activities in Microfabrication and Electronic Circuits laboratory.
  13. 04/28/2011: Dr. Rashmi Jha presented the paper titled "Understanding the Role of Electrodes in Doped Transition Metal Oxide Based Nanoelectronic Memristor Devices." in Symposium Q: New Functional Materials and Emerging Device Architectures for Nonvolatile Memories at Materials Research Society (MRS), Spring Meeting 2011 at San Francisco. The co-authors of the paper are Branden Long, and Yibo Li.
  14. 04/19/2011: COE will shortly make announcements for the summer camp in engineering at UT for K-12 school students. We are gearing up to arrange a super exciting workshop in nanotechnology with plenty of hands-on experience for the students. More information will follow-up soon. Please keep checking the COE website as well.
  15. 04/19/2011: Our Plasma Therm Reactive Ion Etch (RIE) equipment is fully functional now at our microfabrication facility. Kudos to Ryan and Dr. Adam Phillips at the Physics Dept.! This equipment will be currently used for CNT patterning.
  16. 04/19/2011: The graduate students Branden Long, Yibo Li, and Madhumita Chowdhary will present posters in the areas of memristor/RRAM devices at Ohio Innovation Summit on 04/19/2011.
  17. 04/06/2011: We participated in Women in Science Day of Meeting (WISDOM) hosted by the University of Toledo. This science day was arranged by Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) and Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women at UT. This science day was attended by around 60 high school girls from Northwest Ohio schools.
  18. 04/02/2011: Dr. Rashmi Jha presented a talk entitled "Big World Small Devices:The Nanoelectronics" at NNIN NanoCamp Spring 2011 for K-12 school students at the University of Michigan.
  19. Spring 2011: Yibo Li joined our group in spring 2011. Yibo will pursue Ph.D. in the areas of memristor/RRAM devices. Welcome Yibo!
  20. Spring 2011: Jorhan Ordosgoitti finished his MS in EE in Fall 2010. He will join First Solar, one of the leading thin film based solar cells company, after his graduation.
  21. Nov 2010: We successfuly installed SMI 1" MOCVD furnace in our microfabrication faciliy. The furnace will be primarily used for CVD graphene and transition metal oxide based device research. Kudos to Branden!

    1. Jorhan Ordosgoitti, an undergraduate student at UT who was working at NMDL as a UG Research Assistant during summer and fall 2009, finished his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with Magna Cum Laude honors.
    1. Dr. Rashmi Jha presented an invited talk on "Advanced Metal Gate Electrodes and High-K Gate Dielectrics for the Next Generation CMOS Devices" at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan on April 1, 2010
    1. The MicroFabrication laboratory finished installing and testing RF magnetron sputtering system. Kudos to Branden!
    1. Dr. Rashmi Jha received the URAF grant to conduct research in the areas of Organic/Inorganic Bulk Heterojunction Photovoltaic Devices.
    1. Jorhan Ordosgoitti, a Ph.D. student in NMDL group at UT, presented a paper entitled “Capacitance-Voltage Characterization of Solar Cells with CdS Nanodipole in CdTe Matrix” at MRS Spring meeting, 2010 in San Francisco. The paper talks about electrical characterization techniques to understand the transport properties in a novel photovoltaic device consisting of CdS and CdTe. The research is being carried in collaboration with Dr. Al Compaan’s group at UT.
