Welcome from the ECC

Welcome to Engineering College Computing (ECC), the Computing and Information Technology office of the College Engineering at the University of Toledo.

Here at ECC, we are constantly trying to improve our service to the students with our state-of- the-art computing facilities, with 18 computer labs (527 computers), file, web, e-mail, backup, and print services available to students year-round. We maintain and operate more than 102 commercial engineering software packages and numerous open source offerings for our students, faculty, and staff.

The ECC help desk is open and available Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Here at our website is a wide range of information available to our students, with the following being the most commonly requested.

  • Incoming students looking to purchase a personal computer for their work should read through our computer recommendations. Your computer is not required to meet these specifications but they are a benchmark for being able to run many of the programs we offer.

  • For an overview of how to use your engineering account, visit our Accounts page. Here, you can find instructions for checking your e-mail, changing your password, and accessing your own web page on our server.

  • If you want to connect your personal computer to our wireless network, then the Wireless Access page will walk you through the process.
  • Here at ECC, we work with each department on the Engineering campus to provide the hardware, stable infrasctructure, and up-to-date software that our students need. We hope to continue the University of Toledo's outstanding tradition of excellence in education and academics with you this year.
