As you have noticed, Microsoft Office 2007 looks much different than previous versions. You’ll notice very quickly that some of the toolbars we have all become familiar with are no longer there. The greatest recommendation is to take a few minutes, and adjust yourself to the new version. Please note that the DEFAULT format for Office 2007 documents is INCOMPATIBLE with previous versions of Office.
To avoid compatibility problems: Make sure that those who will be using/viewing this document electronically have the compatibility pack installed for their older versions of office, or are using Office 2007. (All UTAD systems on campus and ECC labs already have the one or both of these installed) If necessary, you can also create the document in Office 97-2003 format by selecting the “Office 97-2003" option from the dropdown menu when you initially save the file or use the “save as” feature.
