How can access my home PC from the ECC PC Labs?

Your home PC should have Windows XP.
Windows NT/2000 does not have a remote desktop feature built in.
There have been some issues with security and if not installed properly can result in an easily compromised machine.

ECC does not have remote desktop access from the PC Labs but there is an alternate solution.

1. Install TightVNC (a free software) which is a program that works very similar to Remote Desktop on your home machine.
2. Be sure to set the security settings.
3. Copy the viewer into your user directory and run it. You will be able to remotely view your home machine.
