Mounting Network Drives on Computers Connected to the Engineering Subnet

In order for you to be able to mount your network drives, you must be connected directly to the engineering network. If this is not the case, you will not be able to mount your U drive. This will not work if you are on main campus or off campus.

  1. Right click on the "My Computer" icon.
  2. Left click on "Map Network Drive" option.

  3. Enter the path in the "Path" textbox.
    • To mount the home drive, choose U: and enter the path \\smbhomedirs.eng.utoledo.edu\username
where, username is your Engineering username.
    • To mount the programs drive, choose P: and enter the path \\smbprograms.eng.utoledo.edu\programs

  4. To have the drive available every time you log on,
select the checkbox "Reconnect at Logon".
  5. Click on "OK" button when done.

  6. If you are already logged on to the ECC Samba domain, no additional authorization will be required.
If not, enter your accountname and password, when prompted.
