Brief Procedure Overview If you wish to check the status of your disk quota you must first log into the server from a Windows machine or log on to any UNIX machine. Once connected enter the command "quota -v" Step by Step Procedure Explanatory comments are written in italics. At the command prompt (example green.eng.utoledo.edu% ) type "quota -v"    This should produce results similar to the following:    Disk quota for "username" (uid xxxx) Filesystem usage quota limit files quota limit timeleft /export/home 300 1000000 1002000 400 10000 10200 1w The time left 1w (1 Week) is the time you have to reduce your usage, after which the files will be automatically deleted, such that your diskusage is 1GB.
