| Mechanical Engineering Technology students are prepared to enter a broad and diverse field. Graduates of the baccalaureate program are prepared for careers as applications engineers in areas such as manufacturing, maintenance, testing, inspection, quality control systems design and plant operations. Field of practice includes computer-aided design, dynamics, fluids mechanics, hydraulics, machine design, numerical control and thermodynamics. Students with the B.S.E.T. degree are eligible to take the F.E. examination in most states as the first step toward registration as a Professional Engineer. Students transferring into the program from other colleges and universities with deficiencies will be required to complete course prerequisites before enrolling in required upper-division courses. | ||
