Jiakai Li, doctoral candidate, along with Dr. Gursel Serpen, associate professor (EECS), recently learned that the paper they submitted for the 2011Complex Adaptive Systems Conference, held in November, was selected as the winning entry for Best Paper Award.  The paper “TOSSIM Simulation of Wireless Sensor Network Serving as Hardware Platform for Hopfield Neural Net Configured for Max Independent Set” was said to be a very significant part of the success of the conference.
