Mr Birdel F. Jackson, III, P.E. and alumnus of the College of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering has been chosen the 2004 Diversity Champion by the Committee on Diversity and Women in Civil Engineering. Mr. Jackson will receive his award at the 2005 Zonal Leadership Conference on January 22, 2005 in Orlando Florida. Mr. Jackson will be recognized for his voluntary services and continued support of inclusiveness in the field of Civil Engineering and women. Mr. Jackson was selected from a group of champions who also strive to promote diversity in the civil engineering community.
