On Wednesday, March 17, 2010 the College of Engineering hosted a reception for faculty and staff on the first floor of Nitschke Hall. The reception was held to thank those in the college for their hard work and dedication. In fall 2009, The College of Engineering led the University in the number of students participating in the University's Honors Program and in the number of Honors Program graduates. The college also led in first to second semester retention, first to second year retention, five year graduation rate and total enrollment growth. The College of Engineering offers 10 of the top 35 majors selected by new freshmen at UT.
