11/13/2009YAG Backscattered Detector Installed on SEM
A new YAG Backscattered electron detector was installed on the S-4800 SEM. This will provide BSE imaging capabilities from 5 KV to 30 KV.

CMSC is inaugurating a workshop series on Materials Characterization Tools and Techniques. We are pleased to announce that the first workshop will be held on November 3rd, 2009. This workshop will focus on the theory, principles of operation and basic design of the Hitachi S-4800 Field Emission (FE) SEM system located at CMSC. Further information can be found here.
