Research
Interest
Dr. Nims is a structural
engineer whose research interests focus on earthquake engineering. He
is currently doing research on the passive seismic control of
buildings using friction and shape memory energy dissipators. He
is also performing research on innovative systems for the seismic
restraint of piping.
