Research Interest

Dr. Murnen has an interest in matrix analysis of structures, finite elements and pavement management systems. Experienced in the study of concrete and masonry products. Dr.Murnen's research includes examinations of concrete and lightweight concrete. Dr. Murnen recently completed a Construction Materials Research Group (CMRG) research grant studying cable stayed bridge construction with an erection instrumentation program.
